Support the Wild Salmon Caravan

Help us Stand for Wild Salmon

Wild salmon are facing unprecedented pressures, with record-low returns threatening ecosystems, communities, cultures, and Indigenous food systems across the Pacific Northwest.

Thank you!

Your Support

Makes This Possible

The Wild Salmon Caravan (WSC) brings people together through ceremony, public art, storytelling, education, and collective action to raise awareness and build support for the protection and regeneration of wild salmon.

This year, we are organizing two events. On October 4, we will gather for a ceremony, feast, and arts-build workshop to create art and media for public engagement around the crisis facing wild salmon. On October 13, 2026, the Grandmother’s Law – Walk for Wild Salmon in Vancouver will bring together Grandmothers, Indigenous fisher peoples, knowledge holders, community members, artists, and allies to call for meaningful change in the management and protection of wild salmon.

We Call on You!

We are inviting individuals, families, businesses, organizations, and community groups to contribute financially or in kind. Your contribution can help us:

  • Support honoraria, travel, accommodation, and per diems for Grandmothers, Indigenous fisher peoples, knowledge holders, and participants.
  • Help bring participants from their communities to Vancouver for the Walk.
  • Support ceremony, public art, storytelling, and cultural activities.
  • Create promotional and educational materials that bring attention to the decline of wild salmon.
  • Build opportunities for Indigenous communities and allies to come together around food sovereignty, cultural continuity, and the protection of wild salmon.

Every contribution helps sustain this work.

We raise our

hands to you!

Ways to support

There are many ways to support the Wild Salmon Caravan: make a donation, contribute your time, or join us at our events and actions. Every contribution helps strengthen collective efforts to protect wild salmon and Indigenous food sovereignty.

Make a Donation

Give an amount that is meaningful to you. Contributions of $25, $50, $100, $500, $1,000 or more can all help make the Caravan possible.

Larger contributions can directly support participant travel, accommodation, honoraria, and other costs associated with bringing Indigenous knowledge holders and fisher peoples together.
