HONOURING OUR MATRIARCHS
Under the guidance of our matriarchs, following ancient ceremonies and songs of Indigenous peoples, creative expressions of visual and performing arts, music, storytelling, and guest speakers, the WSC 2017 called the wild salmon home to the rivers and streams where they play out their lives in birth and death.

The 2016 Wild Salmon Caravan nurtured the creative energy that wild salmon have inspired through the ages and affirmed inter-tribal relationships that are the foundation of Indigenous trade economies and wild salmon knowledge, wisdom, and values.
